The Denmark tourist visa is a Schengen visa that is given specifically for travel and allows you to stay in Denmark and all other Schengen countries for up to 90 days. Unless you have exceptional circumstances, you cannot prolong your stay beyond three months or engage in employment with a Danish Schengen visa (such as an illness, political turmoil in your home country, etc).

Denmark tourist visa documents requirement

  • fill out application form for a visa to Denmark: Correctly fill out the application form, print it, then sign it at the bottom.
  • Recent images in two: In accordance with the Schengen visa requirements and specifications, recently taken photos that are no older than three months should be used.
  • Passport with two blank pages for the visa sticker and no more than ten years old. Valid for three months after leaving Denmark and six months from the time of application.
  • Booking or schedule for travel. You are required to submit a document with a full itinerary for your flight or other travel to the Schengen Area.
  • Travel insurance that complies with Schengen regulations: At least €30,000 in emergency and medical coverage must be included in your travel insurance policy.
  • Evidence of accommodation: Evidence proving that you will have a place to stay during your vacation, such as a letter from your family or friends in Denmark inviting you, a hotel reservation, a rental agreement, etc.
  • Evidence of financial capacity: Providing evidence—such as a bank statement or sponsorship letter—that you will be able to sustain yourself during your stay is important.
  • Showing proof of employment: You need to submit either a business plan or an employment contract, depending on your job situation.
  • Itinerary for travel: You need to turn in a document that contains information about your trip to Denmark.

Eligibility- Denmark Tourist Visa

  • You are required to have your valid passport, bank statements of the last 6 months, and valid photographs of at least 4. These all documents should be scanned. After the documents get checked they have a special mark on each paper with a stamp which displays that the scanning process is completed.
  • You should have a return ticket for yourself if someone else is going along with you. Both people should have their return ticket according to their visa expiration, if they go back after their visa expires then you are not worthy. You have to pay extra fees for visa updates according to the country’s rules and regulations.
  • A person suffering from any health issue must have a proper checkup or doctor’s prescription in which he/she is ready to travel in between his medication. All the necessary conditions are very important to follow if the people who are medically unfit or not are recommended to not travel. If it is an emergency condition to do such travelling they should have the proper prescription from the doctor.
