How frequently do you have the opportunity to stay right in the center of a rainforest? Some of the greatest locations are the Rewa Lodge, where the Rupununi and Rewa Rivers converge (and where I stayed!). Stay in a rural cabin with good amenities or a traditional bar (local hut). But be aware that you can receive some uninvited guests. One of the guests had a monkey visit, another had a tarantula hanging out in the rafters above their bed, and one nearby cabin had a mouse living inside.
