Family Visa- Mexico

A Temporary or Permanent Resident Visa for the Purpose of Family Unity, often known as a Mexico Family Visa, is required if you are a foreign national and wish to join a family member in Mexico. Depending on the nationality of your family member and your relationship to them, you may be granted temporary or permanent residency in Mexico on the grounds of family unity.

Documents required for the Family visa Mexico are listed below

  • signed and completed Mexico Visa Request Form
  • Your passport and copies of the pertinent pages (first and last page, any visas and stamps you have received)
  • photograph the size of a passport taken within the last six months on a white backdrop.
  • a reserved airline ticket (not necessarily purchased)
  • Evidence of family ties, such as:
  • For spouses or partners, a marriage licence or proof of a common-law relationship
  • Birth certificates for siblings, parents, or kids attesting to family relationships
  • If a member of your family has a resident card: their resident card, both the original and a copy.
  • If a member of your family studies abroad: a letter verifying their admission from the school
  • Financial stability evidence in the form of paystubs, savings, or bank statements over the last 12 months.
  • payment of the Mexico Family Visa charge
  • whatever extra papers the Mexican embassy asks for you have to submit those as well.
  • Do not forget

  • You must submit all of your documents in either English or Spanish. If not, do so and provide both the original language and the translation.
  • Birth certificates, school transcripts, and other official documents must all be legalised before submission, either by an Apostille or the Mexican embassy.
  • This is not a complete list of prerequisites. The Mexican embassy may ask for any further paperwork they deem necessary.

You must fulfil the following requirements in order to be qualified to enter the nation on a visa.

  • You must have a reason to visit the country that is both legitimate and honourable.
  • You must have the financial resources to support yourself and any dependents during the entire stay in order to be eligible to shoulder all costs.
  • Strong ties to your native country must exist for you to have good reasons to return there following your visit.
  • You must be of good character and have no history of criminal activity. For the same, you might need to present a PCC (Police Clearance Certificate).
  • Being in good health means that you must at least satisfy the authorities' minimum standards for health.

  • You must truly enjoy travelling and want to discover the nation.
  • You must demonstrate your intent to visit by showing that you have already made the necessary travel arrangements.
