  • If your sibling is a citizen or lawful permanent resident of Mexico: Birth certificates for you and your sibling (original and photocopy)
  • If you are a kid of a permanent resident or Mexican citizen's spouse or common-law partner:
  • Proof of the union or marriage of your parents
  • your certificate of birth
  • If a member of your family is a permanent resident of Mexico: They possess a current Permanent Resident Card (original and photocopy)
  • Evidence that your family member can support you while you're here:
  • Investment receipts or bank statements (original and a photocopy)
  • evidence that your family member is earning money via a job or investments
  • Be mindful of:

  • Birth certificates, marriage certificates, and other formal documents must all be legalised beforehand either by an Apostille or the Mexican embassy.
  • You must submit all of your documents in either English or Spanish. You must submit both the original and the translation if they are not already translated.

  • You're retired and want to stay in Mexico permanently, but you have no plans to work or earn money there (Mexico Retirement Visa)

  • You have a Temporary Resident Card and have lived in Mexico for at least four years.
  • You have a Temporary Resident Card granted because of your marriage to a Mexican citizen or permanent resident, and you have resided in Mexico for at least two years.
