Applying for a Taiwan Visa After submitting your online Taiwan visa application, you have 30 days to assemble the necessary documents and visit a Taiwan diplomatic mission in person. You can pick the diplomatic mission where you will submit your documents from a drop-down option on the online application. Even though you are free to apply for a Taiwan visa at any Taiwanese embassy, you should do so at the one that is most conveniently located for your place of residence.
The diplomatic mission staff may request a personal meeting with you if they feel it is necessary.

If everything about your application is correct, they will give you a visa and let you know when you may pick up your passport with the visa attached.
The Taiwan Bureau of Consular Affairs will receive your application if the Taiwan diplomatic mission determines that it requires additional assessment (BOCA). Following notification from the BOCA that your application has been accepted, the diplomatic mission will issue your visa.
While other diplomatic missions might let you give someone else permission to apply on your behalf, some may require you to personally appear when submitting documents.
If you want your passport mailed to you, be sure to include a self-addressed, pre-paid envelope with any other paperwork.
