Uganda is a landlocked country located in eastern Africa. It is bordered by Kenya to the north, Tanzania to the south, and the Democratic Republic of Congo to the west and north-west. The country has a population of around 36 million people. Uganda is a largely rural society with over 60% of the population living in rural areas. Around 40% of the population are engaged in agriculture, while industry and services account for only 10% each. Uganda has a rich culture with traditional music, dance and storytelling enjoying great popularity. The country's main tourist destinations include Lake Victoria, Mount Kilimanjaro, Kampala City, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Murchison Falls National Park. Tourism is an important part of Uganda's economy with visitor arrivals estimated at 10 million per year.
